Several times each year Julian Cole ranks Australia’s marketing bloggers in a list he calls the Australian Marketing Pioneer Blogs. Julian’s list has been published in both Marketing Magazine and B&T and is an excellent appraisal of the Aussie marketing blog scene.
The Adspace Pioneers ranking is based on criteria such as Julian’s own “Pioneer ranking”, Google PageRank, Technorati Authority, Technorati reactions and Alexa rating.
These are some of the best content producers in Australia, generating some of the most stimulating and thought provoking content in the marketing community.
So we thought we’d run our NLYZR over the current Marketing Pioneers Top 20 to see how they stack up. NLYZR Scores appraise a site from a more business-like perspective including criteria such as On-page SEO, Off-page SEO, Keyword search results, Competitor scores, Social media and traffic conversion.
This week Craig Wilson & Kendall Wheeler discuss how women out number men in Social Media networks. Craig talks to Ian Lyons, at Single Origin and we highlight Eutopia’s new European wine website.
Australia has 116 Credit Unions and 6 Building Societies. In this year’s BRW‘Top 500 Private Companies’ list, 6 Credit Unions and four Building Societies made the cut.
So we put the websites of these leading financial institutions to the NLYZR test to see how they stack up. Most of the sites have the basic search engine optimisation complete, however there were a few notable exceptions with very unsatisfactory or non-existent on-page SEO. None had optimised their sites strategically to ensure excellent search results though. Meanwhile, several are certainly missing out on valuable, qualified inbound inquiries and are merely relying on brand awareness for traffic.
Finally, it would also be fair to say (somewhat tongue-in-cheek) that one organisation in particular is not “master of their domain”.
Here are the Web NLYZR scores for Australia’s top 10 Credit Unions and Building Societies….
