We’re in the process of building the perfect website – perfect for us, that is.

In reality there probably isn’t a perfect website, but we’re trying to build something that is exceptionally effective for the launch of our all new NLYZR Website Optimization System.

Of course everybody has different objectives for their websites and so there is no single design, layout or strategy that will work for all, but in our case we have a very clear set of objectives for NLYZR and have started redesigning from scratch.

Some of the considerations we need to include are; search engine optimization, ease of navigation, very clear conversion signals, plenty of compelling content, forms, videos, PDF downloads, payment facilities, an e-commerce platform, members area, confirmation messages and emails……and that’s before the user starts playing with the new NLYZR system we’ve developed.

It’s, um…….complicated and we’ve taken a lot of care in trying to design a site that makes sense and delivers results. Here’s the way we mapped it out in the office during planning…. (basketball hoop not included)

Will it be perfect? Probably not.

We expect to test and change the site a lot over the next year to continually improve the user experience and fine-tune our conversion strategies. A lot depends on the early results and feedback we receive. But we think this will be a great start. We’ve used our best ideas and closely studied exceptional websites from around the world in order to determine the best possible design.

Very few sites are “set and forget”, they need constant monitoring and adjustments to achieve exceptional results. It doesn’t matter whether if you’re launching a new site aimed at a global market, like we are with NLYZR, or a small site for your hometown…. every site can continually improve and evolve. They may never be perfect but hopefully they deliver increasingly good results for you.

Way back in 2008 Sticky began to get pretty heavily involved in optimizing websites, our own and some clients, for search. Early experiments and trials revealed that were able to achieve some excellent results very quickly. It got us thinking.

We set Gordon the task of documenting all of our processes, testing more ideas and finally writing them into a manual. This become our in-house bible for website optimization.

In early 2008 we decided to offer this process to others beyond our existing client base and settled on a name for it: NLYZR. We had a few crude programs running in-house to assist with our optimization but it was predominantly a manual process that took a fairly long time to do.

Nonetheless, the results continued to be extremely impressive and pretty soon word spread and more and more inquiries came in from companies wanting to use NLYZR. We began doing optimization work for Colliers International, WSPA and ACRF amongst others.

Behind the scenes we continued to tinker and develop more automate systems for our optimization process. In mid 2010 we launched a fast, fully automated version of NLYZR that allowed anyone to test any website’s overall optimization. It provides a quick, broad overview of how well the site is set up for search.

We’ve now had over 6000 websites tested for free by NLYZR. This has given us a lot of great insight into the level of optimization of most sites and what areas most organisations struggle with in SEO. It has informed our continued development.

Meanwhile, we’ve kept improving our processes, evolving with the constant changes to the nature of search, and developing a fully automated system that would help businesses become better marketers online.

Throughout 2011 we have conducted a series of Alpha and Beta trials of the all new NLYZR. The results and feedback have been incredible. We are more convinced than ever that NLYZR can be a very effective tool for organisations (large and small) to improve their web presence and compete in an increasingly digital world.

Now we are commencing our final Beta Trial, an invitation only group from Australia and the USA who will put NLYZR through its paces before its public launch.

We expect to launch NLYZR internationally for membership in September and have several distribution partnerships in the pipeline.

Its been an exciting ride so far and we can’t wait to see what happens next.

In early May 2011 we announced the forthcoming NLYZR: Page Optimizer development and called on participants in an Alpha testing phase.

We’re happy to inform you that Alpha testing has been extremely successful. Users have achieved some excellent results over the last few months and we have been consistently adding features to improve NLYZR.

We are now just weeks away from launching a Beta version of NLYZR: Page Optimizer for another round of extensive testing. This version will have all the features we intend to include in the public launch and will allow us to fine tune the system and populate the FAQs.

Public launch will not be far behind that.
